About — All That K-Beauty
Where Korean beauty industry knowledge meets a global perspective.
Hi, I'm Victoria.
I was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea — the birthplace of the skincare philosophy that's quietly taken over the world. But my story doesn't stay in one place.
I spent seven years living in Canada, where I watched Western friends struggle to find honest, reliable information about K-beauty products they'd seen online. Then three years in Thailand, where the demand for Korean cosmetics was exploding but the knowledge gap was just as wide. Now I'm back in Seoul — closer than ever to the source.
That journey across three countries gave me something most beauty writers don't have: a genuinely global perspective on what K-beauty means to different people, different skin types, and different cultures.
My Background: Inside the Korean Cosmetics Industry
My connection to K-beauty goes well beyond skincare routines and product reviews. Before starting this blog, I worked at K&Global — a Korean cosmetics distribution and export company — where I was responsible for sourcing and supplying Korean beauty products for international buyers.
My role wasn't to sell a single brand. It was to understand what global buyers actually needed — and find it. That meant sourcing across hundreds of Korean brands, evaluating OEM manufacturers, matching product specifications to buyer requirements, and navigating the full supply chain from Korean factory to international market. Every category, every price point, every skin concern.
That experience gave me a perspective that's genuinely rare in beauty writing:
- I know which brands are innovative and which ones are riding someone else's trend
- I know how OEM manufacturing works — and what "formulated in Korea" actually means
- I know what international buyers — from the US, Europe, Southeast Asia — are actually asking for, and why
- I know how to read an ingredient list the way a formulator does, not just as a consumer
- I know which products perform and which ones sell because of marketing
When I write about a K-beauty ingredient or recommend a product, it comes from this foundation — not just from using the product as a consumer, but from understanding the industry that made it.
Industry Recognition
K&Global's work in Korean cosmetics export was recognized at the highest national level. The company received the $10 Million Export Tower Award (천만불 수출의 탑) at Korea's 54th Trade Day — an award presented by the President of Korea — and was officially certified as a trading company by Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
These recognitions reflect the scale and credibility of the work behind this blog — sourcing and supplying Korean beauty products at an internationally certified level, long before K-beauty became a global trend.
Why I Started This Blog
During my years in Canada and Thailand, I kept seeing the same problems. K-beauty products were everywhere — on Amazon, in Sephora, on TikTok — but accurate, detailed information was genuinely hard to find. Reviews were either too shallow ("this smells great!") or too technical for someone just starting out.
And most importantly: there were very few voices from people who actually understood both the Korean beauty industry from the inside and the needs of a global audience who's new to it.
I started All That K-Beauty to fill that gap. This blog is for anyone who is curious about K-beauty — whether you're completely new and don't know where to start, or you're already deep into your routine and want to understand the ingredients and science behind it. Every post is written in plain English, grounded in real industry knowledge, and always honest.

My Promise to You
I will never recommend a product I haven't personally researched or tested. I will never write a review based on what a brand wants me to say. And I will always tell you when something isn't worth the hype — even if it's one of Korea's most beloved products.
Some posts contain affiliate links — if you purchase through one, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This never influences what I recommend. My sourcing background means I have no loyalty to any single brand — only to what actually works.
K-beauty changed my skin and my relationship with skincare. I'm here to help it do the same for you.
Welcome to All That K-Beauty.
